Mercer Raceway Park gave us a change with Friday night racing, as Truk Rodz by Jones Performance presented the “Small Car National Open” on Independence Day.

Mother Nature proved to be the big winner Saturday night. With severe thunderstorms approaching the track, the decision to cancel early was made, giving patrons time to leave in an orderly manner.
When the tornado warning was issued, Mike and Vicki opened the office as a shelter, for those of us who could not leave the facilities in time. I wish to thank Mike and Vicki for their concerns and actions for our safety.
